Gluten free Dairy free option Grain free Soy free

This all time favorite dressing uses fresh herbs that make it a cut above store bought varieties. The fresh herbs really elevate this dressing, so use as many fresh ones as you can get.

You can even make it with Homemade Mayonnaise and Yellow Mustard for an extra special treat or when you simply prefer to make these yourself.

Use all organic ingredients, ensure any dried spices are labeled certified gluten free, and any packaged or jarred ingredients are labeled gluten free.

Ranch Dressing
An all time classic dressing that's creamy and satisfying, and loaded with fresh herbs. Using fresh herbs will really elevate the dressing, so use as many fresh ones as you have access to.
Prep time: 10 minutes Makes: 1 1/2 cups Difficulty: Medium
Gluten free Dairy free option Grain free Soy free
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Homemade mayonnaise
1/2 cup Heavy cream (* see substitutions below for dairy free option)
2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons Fresh chives, basil or oregano, chopped
2 teaspoons Fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons Yellow Mustard or Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon Fresh garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Fresh dill, chopped
1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
1/4 teaspoon Fresh ground black pepper
Substitutions and Notes:
  • Dairy free: If you want a dairy free dressing, then instead of using heavy cream, use fresh coconut cream mixed with a bit of fresh coconut milk or coconut water, and mix it to be the thickness of heavy cream.
  • Herbs: You can use dried herbs instead of fresh herbs. For parsley, use 1 1/2 teaspoons dried. For chives, basil or oregano, use 1 1/2 teaspoons dried. For the garlic, use 1/4 teasoon garlic powder. For the fresh dill, use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed.
  • Soy free: To ensure your dressing is soy free, use a mayonnaise that is soy free.
Directions:
  • Whisk the mayonnaise, cream, parsley, chives (or basil or oregano), lemon juice, mustard, garlic, dill, sea salt and pepper in a small bowl.
  • You can control the thickness by adding more or less cream.
  • Use immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Though this has a few more ingredients, it's actually quite simple. And so delicious! Enjoy!

Note: Use all organic ingredients, and be sure the dried spices are labeled certified gluten free, and the packaged or jarred items are labeled gluten free.
